School Uniform Print

We consider every child to be an ambassador for Andrews' Endowed School, and encourage them to take pride in their appearance.  Being smartly dressed in our distinctive purple school uniform gives our children a sense of belonging in our community.

We do not want families to have to spend enormous amounts of money on uniform, so we try to keep the number of items with school logos to a minimum.

Our uniform consists of:

White Polo shirts (plain or with school logo)

Grey Trousers (long or short)

Grey Skirts/Pinafore Dresses/Cullottes

Purple Sweatshirts/Cardigans (plain or with school logo)

Purple Dresses - gingham check

Plain grey, black, or white Socks

Plain, not patterned Tights - grey, black, white or purple

Black, brown or navy Shoes - easily fastened, of a sensible style which cover the toes for safety.

Sandals - may be worn in summer, but children should change into  plimsolls or trainers at breaktimes, to protect bare toes from being trodden on accidentally!

Boots  - May be worn to and from school in winter, but children should change into shoes on arrival.

Wellingtons - All children should have a pair of named wellingtons in school during the wetter months.

Coat - A warm winter coat of any type may be worn.

In warmer weather, all children will need to bring a sunhat or baseball cap to school.

P.E. Kit

Black shorts (track suit bottoms for cold weather)

House-coloured tee-shirt (Autsten - yellow; Cobbet - red; Gaskell - green; White - blue)

Black plimsolls or trainers

P.E. bag - named on the outside, soft, drawstring

Trainers and plimsolls may not be worn to and from school.

ALL clothing and equipment needs to be clearly marked with the child's name. Checks need to be made regularly to ensure that the name label has not faded or disappeared.

Jewellery is not practical or safe for school wear, so we do not allow children to wear such items in school.  We do not recommend pierced ears for the same reason, but where children do have their ears pierced only plain studs may be worn.  These must be removed for PE, and stored by the child.  We are not able to take responsibility for lost earrings.  Pupils who cannot remove their own earrings will need to provide and use micropore tape to cover their earrings for PE.

Where can I get School Uniform from?

Most of our uniform can be obtained from high street retailers.  Embroidered school sweatshirts or cardigans and polo-shirts may be ordered from the PTFA. House colour t shirts and book bags, baseball hats and other items are also available.  Order forms are in the PTFA tray in the school office, or available to download from the letters tab on the website.
