Grief is a very personal experience. Every adult, child and young person will experience it differently, and it is important to give everyone space to deal with their feelings in their own way.

It is important to remember to take care of ourselves when supporting bereaved children and young people, seeking support from our own networks and school as needed. Please do contact us via schoolsupport@aepri.co.uk if we can help in any way.

We keep sets of books in school which we loan to families to help them to talk about loss and bereavement – please contact us via schoolsupport@aepri.co.uk or ring us on 01420 83094 if you would like to borrow a set of our ‘When We Are Sad’ books.

There are a number of charities who provide some excellent resources to support children and families in difficult times. Please follow the links below to access websites which can help you and your child begin to deal with loss.
